Allow me to introduce myself:
I’m Elizabeth Nelsen, and I hope to be the right fit for your translation needs. I am a Spanish>English translator (native US English speaker) with extensive translation experience in the medical and life sciences fields.
After studying Spanish at University of Wisconsin-Madison and studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, I knew that I wanted to shape my future around my passion for the language. My love for translation was driven by a large project at UW-Madison for which I volunteered to translate 20,000 words for the Wisconsin statewide election. The hours I spent translating and doing research were invigorating, and I decided that I wanted to further my education in order to pursue a career as a translator.
I researched options for Master’s programs in Translation, and found that not only was Kent State University one of the top programs, it was the one piece I was missing for my future career. I had my heart set on the KSU program from the moment I looked at the curriculum and faculty profiles. I was accepted into the program and in Fall 2013 I began the journey of a lifetime.
Today I am proud to be an alumna of Kent State University and my formal training is reflected in my work. I am committed to delivering an accurate and precise translation in a timely fashion and promise to make your needs my priority.
